New Maruti Swift Dzire launched
Maruti has launched the second-generation of popular Swift Dzire at a starting price of Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new sub-four-metre Dzire will also be offered as a four-speed automatic petrol variant apart from the both petrol and diesel engine variants.
The base petrol (LXi) is priced at Rs 4.79 lakh. The automatic is only available in the VXi variant, at a cost of Rs 6.54 lakh. In the diesel version, the base variant is for Rs 5.80 lakh and the top-end for Rs 7.09 lakh.
The new Dzire compact saloon has lot of changes from its old avatar. It is 165 mm shorter, with small boot. The engines are from the new Swift which means that the Dzire will be powered by 86bhp, 1.2-litre petrol and 74bhp, 1.3-litre diesel motors. The K-Series petrol engine benefits from Variable Valve Timing and this has resulted in a 2bhp power bump compared to the older car. The 1.3-litre DDiS motor remains mainly unchanged.
The new Dzire is made to look bit different from the new Swift. The front gets a slatted grille while the bumper features a wider air dam and larger enclosures for the fog lights. Moving to the rear, the quarter glass has a more conventional fall to it and the rear door is bit larger. Cabin design is similar to the Swift’s.
Outlander GT
The Outlander GT in engine changes raise maximum output by 10 horsepower, for a total of 230 horsepower, with an improved torque curve for more responsive city driving and enhanced fuel economy and emissions. the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Prototype Prototype features an upgraded shifting program and Idle Neutral Logic, which automatically, and smoothly, shifts into neutral during vehicle standstill. It reengages at the slightest lift of the foot off the brake pedal, thereby providing instantaneous response.
